Stop Child Abuse

Child abuse is more than bruises and broken bones. While physical abuse might be the most visible sign, other types of abuse, such as emotional abuse or child neglect, also leave deep, long lasting scars. Some signs of child abuse are subtler than others. However, by learning common types of abuse and what you can do, you can make a huge difference in a child’s life. The earlier abused children get help, the greater chance they have to heal from their abuse and not perpetuate the cycle. Learn the signs and symptoms of child abuse and help break the cycle, finding out where to get help for the children and their caregivers.

Child abuse is more than bruises or broken bones. While physical abuse is shocking due to the scars it leaves, not all child abuse is as obvious. Ignoring children’s needs, putting them in unsupervised, dangerous situations, or making a child feel worthless or stupid are also child abuse. Regardless of the type of child abuse, the result is serious emotional harm.

Ten Ways to Help Prevent Child Abuse
 Be a nurturing parent. Children need to know that they are special, loved and capable of following their dreams.

 Help a friend, neighbor or relative. Being a parent isn’t easy. Offer a helping hand  take care of the children, so the  parent(s) can rest or spend time together.

 Help yourself. When the big and little problems of your everyday life pile up to the point you feel
overwhelmed and out of control – take time out. Don’t take it out on your kid.

 If your baby cries… It can be frustrating to hear your baby cry. Learn what to do if your baby won’t stop crying.  Never shake a baby – shaking a child may result in severe injury or death.

 Get involved. Ask your community leaders, clergy, library and schools to develop services to meet the  needs of healthy children and families.

 Help to develop parenting resources at your local library.

 Promote programs in school. Teaching children, parents and teachers prevention strategies can help to keep children safe.

 Monitor your child’s television and video viewing. Watching violent films and TV programs can harm young children.

 Volunteer at a local child abuse prevention program.

 Report suspected abuse or neglect. If you have reason to believe a child has been or may be harmed, call your local department of children and family services or you local police department.

Please... Love your child... It present from GOD!!!
Save them.. "STOP CHILD ABUSE"!!!

No Arms, No Legs, No worries. - Nick Vujicic

I'm really inspired with Andy's newest post in his blog. This make me want to blog before I lost my inspiration.HAHAHA, seriously okay. I want to share with you guys and after you're about finished reading this, I bet you'll get something and feel your life is much more beautiful and lots of appreciation feeling will "pop-out" in your life. I mean you'll more appreciate with what you having right now rather than complaining this, that, or anything. Most probably you're complaining about your life. Me too. But this really motivated me!

Here it goes :

Did you ever heard a man who called Nick Vujicic? As Andy blog on his post, Nick Vujicic pronounce as "Vooy-Cheech". Thanks Brader Andy, I'm seriously don't know how to pronounce. It's really helped. HAHAHA. Okay back to our topic. Who is Nick Vujicic? Really, does his name sounds familiar to you? Have you met him in person? Alright..This is it..

You're not going to trust me what I'm going to say next...Nick Vujicic personally preaches that "He's man without limbs", yet his life is "without limbs". He is the living proof so that the works of God may be revealed in his life. His father who is a pastor can’t believe what happened like his mother who cannot accept the physical outcome of her firstborn child.

The doctors have no answers of the defects of the baby who was born without limbs, but later called the deformitiesTetra-amelia. The whole church was shocked about his existence. Praising God was far from their lips. They questioned why the God of love will let it happened. Even his father thought he will not survive, but tests proved that Nick was a healthy baby boy-just a few limbs missing.
And so, the adventure of a lifetime begins.

When he's still young, as early as ten years old, Nick Nujicic is planning a suicide attempt because he cannot endure the bullying he’s getting in school. Because of physical difference, his classmates and people in the community were concluding that he’s also mentally challenged. Slowly, other students realized that the boy without limbs is just like them. One by one they became Nick’s friends. Even so, he still felt depressed and angry about his life. Oftentimes, he asked God why He made him like this-a boy without limbs.

As Nick’s grow, he began to understand his existence. He started appreciating God’s plan for him. At age 15, he gave his life fully to Jesus Christ. He read John 9 from the Holy Bible where Jesus explained that the reason a man was born blind was “so that the works of God may be revealed in his life.” In other words, if it is God’s will, it will happen in his time.

Nick became more independent and can take care of his personal needs. He can even cook his own meal! He uses an electric wheelchair to carry him around his home in California. He likes swimming, soccer and fishing. Can you imagine that?!

Below is a video that I came across on YouTube this morning. I reposted it on my page and encourage others to as well. It is definitely worth a look when you have a few minutes to spare. Nick Vujicic was born without arms and legs but certainly has a ton of heart. His ability to remain positive is beyond inspiring. We can all learn from his example. Watching this video will certainly offer perspective on your own life. I know it did for me.

An inspiring video about gratitude, perseverance, faith and courage.
Nick Vujicic was born with no arms and no legs, but was an otherwise healthy baby.
Try to imagine for a moment the challenges of going through daily life without arms or legs.

Many would think these goals were too far-fetched. However, I believe that if you have the desire and passion to do something, and it’s within God’s will, you will achieve it in good time. As humans, we continually put limits on ourselves for no reason at all! ( an inspire words from Nick Vujicic )

My Personal Encounter with Nick Vujicic

Why do we, normal people, keep on whining everyday about what we lack in material things? We have so much to give if only we follow Nick Vujicic’s example. Are you going to finish strong???

When you fall down, just get back up!!

Something you dont know about me..!!

1) Secretly imagine myself going to the gym to get myself that 6 sexy packs on my abs, but in reality I would probably end up too busy or too lazy.

2) Sometimes I imagine my future husband will look like Cristiano Ronaldo (that hot body!) but knowing this search will take me a lifetime, so i'm not too picky anymore.

3) Once in a while, I fart really loud when nobody's at home and I actually enjoyed it! :) i'm sure you do too!!! unless you're a robot!!!!

4) I cannot compromise friends that betrays me or those 2 butt faced people. They are the most disgusting people in the world!

5) I secretly punch the wall when I'm really angry, so if you see bruises on my hands then you know I've been really angry.

6) I have a habit of breaking things during my short tempered. And I've broken Shen's sunglasses and some CDs before, and I've accidently broken Duncan's rosary in the car... Sorry boys... it was Hulk who did those things!

7) Shopping is therapeutic for me. I find joy in something new when I'm sad. But I'm not a shopaholic.

8) I'm a workaholic - I cannot NOT work for too long... It actually drives me nuts. I'm not born to be a housewife too.

9) Sometime, I imagine what if I had chosen this other guy instead of this other guy... yeah... i'm sure you've heard that one before!

10) Last but not least, I have a thing for churches (especially old ancient ones with beautiful story behind it) I can't explain, it's just weird. If you'd like to impress me, take me to a church I've never been before and you tell me the story :)

Holiday with my friends....

We went to a place called Buluh Betung Resort & Living..

To go there is easy, but my friends and I had lost somewhere in Cheras Station. Thanks God the ticket seller told us how to go to Batu 9 so that the owner of this Rumah Buluh Betung could pick us up.

So, route not to be missed to go there is by using any KTM services to go to KL Sentral. And from KL sentral, use Ampang Line to go to Hang Tuah Station. And from Hang Tuah Station and to Taman Maluri. From Taman Maluri Station, make a way to the nearest but station to take bus with U40 number to Bas Station Batu 9. And from there, the owner of Rumah Buluh Betung picked us up.

During my stay at Rumah Buluh Betung, I had never expected such treat from the owner. I had never thought the owner could even prepared us with meals for dinner and lunch.

The price for a night stay is RM50, but he gave us discounts since we are still students, but the way he treated was more than RM50. I just couldn’t make it to see them keep doing that while we were paying them so little. The owner named Mohamad Ramadhan is a nice man to know. He has his influences towards people in Sunda, Indonesia.

he first house he built was a bit bigger than the house we were staying, but because of the house with 7 rooms were on people’s land, he has to stopped building the house, and make the new one. And the new house was the one we stayed.

To build a Rumah Buluh Betung, it costs him for about Rm100000. Staying there means no homestay. I came to that place to relax and enjoyed the jungle environment. A lot much of can be done, and it is an awesome place to do simple things and to tie closer bonds between family and friends.

No worries, you will find yourself very comfortable in Rumah Buluh Betung. With its cozy bed room, warm suits your body temperature during the night, and windy during the day. The washroom is nice and big enough for you.

I managed to go to the waterfall, and for the first time I bathed using the bamboo pipe which connected directly from the highest waterfall. It was cold, and nice. Its very challenging to go to the waterfall though.

Barbecue at night was awesome. And what has been done by owners were great too. I thought they were gonna provide us only the place to barbecue, but they even provided charcoal, and persons to handle the fire and to do barbecue. All were done by them, while us sitting waiting for the food to be cooked. And of course the food were provided by us, and we enjoyed eating it with them.

The night was great with the windy moment in the jungle, cold, hot food, and all the people were great. Who owns a place will struggle to make you happy during the stay? All I could say, the place was awesome with the people. You wouldn’t regret your stay there.

The house I stayed a night with friends was the house used to shoot for Jangan Pandang Belakang Congkak Movie, which happened a week before my stay. I could say, every inches of the place has been touched by me before the movie is out. :)

Morning view was awesome there. With animals sound and windy environment. It makes everyone feels calm and peace. Going there has nothing else to regret you.

The owner provides you with learning lesson, where he explains on how to build the house, from A-Z. And he even told us about his next plans on how he’s going to make the place famous. The place will soon have a learning center on Bamboos related.

The place is not open to public, its more private. But they welcomed family, students and newly-wed couples for honeymoon. Cost per stay will be RM50 per night. And everything can be done for you, but just let the owner know what you gonna need for things you want to do.For instance, jungle trekking, confirm with them the activities so that they can arrange people to guide you. Besides having activities near the house, you may also request activities outside the place like Kolam Air Panas Sungai Serai. All you need to do is confirm the activities you wanna have there, and the owner will arrange it for you.

The owner promised me to bring me to Kolam Air Panas, jungle trekking and any near places during my next stay. I just can’t wait to do so again!!!

All I could say now is that, I love being there. I like the place. It makes me calm and comfortable. The owner was great enough in treating their guests. Sometimes, I could feel, like paying them was not enough to thanks them on way they treated us. I’m gonna stay there once more in the future...^^

One sweet day
